Today I want to share with you the topic “Nine characteristics of China and Freedom from Fear”. Through nine short videos, I will introduce you to Fernando from Colombia, South America. He is my like-minded friend: His full name is Fernando Munoz Bernal, and Gao Fei (高飞）is the name on his Chinese residence permit. These nine videos are excerpts from our five-party talks in Zhongshan City, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, China on March 24, 2025.
I will first briefly explain each section in Cantonese. About Mr. Gao Fei’s speech, or dialogues with other friends at the meeting.

The second paragraph is: China with economic transformation, “signs of visionery”
Gao Fei used Dongguan’s development , where he lived for many years, to build a 12-lane expressway, which eventually became Huawei’s main base, as an example to illustrate China’s transportation facilities, China’s speed and development vision. They are all unparalleled in the world.
The third paragraph is: China that is frightening, “signs of demonising”
China that dare not reach high, some students from backward countries who are frightened by the media that repeat what others say would rather die in poverty in Columbia than have the courage to accept a full scholarship from China, and China that has been smeared.
The fourth paragraph is: China that has offended someone, “signs of hatred”

These are the tricks for them as foreigners to settle down in China.
The seventh paragraph is: China with a profound culture, “signs of resilence against demonisation. “
Gao Fei pointed out that those tourists who have just set foot in China found that they were deceived by the media in the place where they live. These tourists are in a moment of inspiration and shoot films to promote China, which is good. However, these superficial impressions are not enough to explain the real China. Gao Fei, Jerry and Stan all agree that living in China, they can enjoy Freedom of Fear every day. It can be directly translated as: freedom without fear. In general, in the eyes of these three foreign friends, China provides them with a free and peaceful living environment.
